Job Overview

The Senior Designer will be responsible for development of promotional materials (video, digital ads, print and brochures) within the marketing department to support campaigns and special events from ideation to final production. 



 Responsibilities of the Senior Designer include:


  • Oversee the implementation of Brand Guidelines across various internal departments and external agencies
  • Design email campaigns using HTML, CSS and CMS platforms
  • Video design/editing/production to use in commercials and social campaigns
  • Design digital advertisements for implementation across NYRA web sites and social channels as well as supporting paid media buys
  • Manage creative briefs from concept through to completion
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and thinking across different products
  • Work with department head to provide new concepts/designs and iterate on existing branding.
  • Work in multiple channels including digital, print and video
  • Responsible for trafficking/tracking jobs, with internal and external constituents
  • Manage online photo library and naming conventions for print and web. 
  • Liaise with the track photographer to manage weekly shot requests. 
  • Create, communicate, implement and document all processes/ SOP's within Creative Services
  • Post production - backup jobs, storing, post mortems to improve process


  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design/Multi-media or similar
  • 4-5 year’s work experience
  • Expert knowledge of typography and design best practices
  • Knowledge HTML, JavaScript, CSS and CMS platforms
  • Knowledge of video editing/production is a bonus
  • Project Management skills - This involves managing time effectively, planning, organizing, and managing deliverables for each request/project
  • Previous experience in the sports, marketing, media or advertising is a plus
  • Professional business, communication and interpersonal skills - you should be able to communicate well in writing, verbally and visually, and be a good listener.
  • Strong sense of urgency combined with close attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities seamlessly within a fast-paced setting
  • Proficiency in industry software and MAC proficient
  • Broad knowledge of the creative workflow process
  • Self-starter that is highly motivated and enjoys being challenged.
  • Experience with the Adobe Cloud: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, Dreamweaver, Content Management Systems and HTML, UX/Video/Mobile design principles
