The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing marketing, advertising and promotional activities designed to drive attendance and wagering handle while enhancing and growing the New York Racing Association’s brand.
Work with the Director of Marketing on the management of the media buying agency ensuring campaign deliverables are met, ROI is maximized and recap reports are delivered in a timely fashion
Develop and implement integrated Marketing plans surrounding NYRA racing meets designed to drive attendance while ensuring promotional opportunities are delivered on time and within budget
Work closely with the NYRA Bets Marketing Department to support their promotional efforts while building out campaigns designed to increase wagering on track and online
Steward the development of the NYRA brand and its properties across all promotional platforms
Work with creative services team to develop collateral materials for various promotional channels inclusive of print, radio, digital and TV
Identify latest promotional trends in the marketplace and apply them to NYRA’s marketing platforms as appropriate
Collect and synthesize analytics from various campaigns and make recommendations to improve ROI

2 to 4 years of work experience
Experience developing and implementing regional promotions and working with agencies
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Highly collaborative, great facilitator
Strong sense of urgency combined with close attention to detail
Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities seamlessly within a fast paced setting
Promotional experience preferred
Availability to work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule which includes holidays.
Availability to work on site at all three racetracks: Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course (travel stipend provided).
